Brief Introduction to Multimedia Chinese Language Learning Product --"Living Chinese"
A cooperative project by China Radio International (CRI) and the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban), "Living Chinese" was designed and produced by the English Service of CRI. "Living Chinese" is a 20-episode Chinese-teaching video series that fully utilizes the internets potential to promote language acquisition through both direct viewing and interaction. The series is also designed to promote Chinese culture around the world. The duration of each episode is about 10 minutes. "Living Chinese" is also available in other formats such as a textbook, online and mobile-friendly versions, compact discs and MP3 products.
With a balance of live action and animation, "Living Chinese" offers a vivid and panoramic view of Chinese culture and society. The programs focus on many aspects of daily life, including renting an apartment, getting a drivers license and visiting a Chinese farmyard. The series also offers practical advice to those new to Chinese culture, who are perhaps more vulnerable to the culture shock of settling down in a different country.
With a practical yet humorous approach, "Living Chinese" mainly targets beginner-level language learners and those who want to brush up on basic Chinese skills. The series is particularly useful for people planning to relocate to China.

《实景汉语》系列多媒体教材简介
《实景汉语》是由中国国际广播电台和国家汉办合作, 由中国国际广播电台英语环球广播中心策划并打造的综合系列汉语教学产品, 其中, 主打产品-视频版共分20集, 每集时长10分钟, 通过实景拍摄和动画FLASH相结合的形式, 集生活指南与汉语教学于一体, 向国内外汉语学习者教授基础实用汉语的同时, 还向他们介绍中国人的生活方式和文化背景, 并为来华外国人在日常生活中所遇到的难题“支招”, 真正做到寓教于乐、寓教于实际生活之中。,
目前, 该教材目标受众定位为国内外初、中级汉语学习者, 内容涵盖衣、食、住、行各个方面, 诸如老外打车、坐地铁、乘火车等出行话题, 也有老外逛小吃街、泡酒吧、造访农家院, 感受老北京饮食文化、体味现代北京人城市休闲和农家娱乐等多层面的生活话题。同时, 节目也安排诸多对初来乍到的老外们非常实用的生活指南题材, 比如看病、理发(美容)、买手机、租房子、找工作、银行开户, 甚至出席中国同事婚礼等话题。,
目前《实景汉语》已经开通网络在线和手机移动在线教学互动式平台,同时也向国内外出版发行了与之配套的书籍和光盘, 供广大汉语学习者观摩和学习之用。
